Shabab Alahli added three points to its tally and reached 32 points to take fifth place, after defeating Khorfakkan 4-3 in the 18th matchweek of the Arab Gulf League at Rashid Stadium.
Mohamed Marzouq opened the score for Shabab Alahli with a header in the 20th minute, 8 minutes later Omar Juma equalized for the visitors, and Shabab Alahli took the lead again through Youssef Jaber in the 30th minute.
In the first minute of the second half, Omar Jumaa scored the second for Khorfakan, then Paulo Melo added the third goal.
In the last ten minutes, Shabab Alahli scored two goals, the first by Yahya Al-Ghassani in the 81st minute, and the second by Carlos Eduardo, two minutes before the final whistle.
Speaking at the post match press conference, Mahdi Ali, the head coach of Shabab Alahli, congratulated all members of the club, promising to continue working to achieve the required results.
Mahdi stated that Khorfakkan played a good match and showed a distinctive level, indicating that Shabab Alahli dominated of the match, but some mistakes cost the team two goals in the second half, adding that the team returned after the changes the substitute players helped the team to win.
