Shabab Alahli recorded their 17th win in the Arabian Gulf League this season to secure the second place with 53 points, after beating visitors Baniyas 4-1 in the matchweek 25 at Shabab Alahli Stadium in Alawir on Wednesday night.
Shabab Alahli dominated the match from the kickoff, and created some chances, but against the run of the play Baniyas scored the first goal through Michael Ortega in the 6th minute.
After conceding the early goal, the hosts continued their attempts to equalize, and in the 16th minute the defender Mohamed Sabeel leveled the score when he received the ball inside the box and sent powerful shot into the back of the net.
After half an hour from the start Mauro Diaz scored the second goal, to make it 2-1.
In the second half Shabab Alahli scored more two goals, in the 84th minute Ayouve converted the penalty, and Louvanour made it 4-1 in the last minute.
