Mahdi Ali, head coach of Shabab Alahli, accompanied by Ahmed Abdullah Jamil held the prematch press conference heading to the match against Al-Wahda in the 16th matchweek of the Arabian Gulf League, at Rashid Stadium at 5:30 on Saturday.
Mahdi stated that the team returns to the Arab Gulf League matches, within a short period after Al Wasl match in the cup semifinal and will resume training in preparation for the next game, assuring that the team is in progress and must continue in the same manner and try to improve more.
The coach emphasized that Shabab Alahli seeks to achieve a positive result in the next match to advance a step forward in the league, describing Alwahda as a strong opponent, adding that they deal with the league game after game and rely a lot on the effort of the players and their spirit and teamwork.
Commenting on the changes in the lineup from a match to another, Mahdi said: “We aim to rest some players and give the more playing time to other players to be ready, also sometimes we are forced to make changes due to injuries and absence.
He added: “The positive results in the recent period have contributed to raising the morale. In football, good results affect the team positively”.
On the other hand, Ahmed Jamil said: “it is important match, we are keen to continue fighting. Team performance is improving gradually as players, will give all what we must make our fans happy, and achieve our goals in all the competitions in Current season”.
