Shabab Alahli head coach Rodolfo Arruabarrena held a press conference on Tuesday December 18, at Maktoum Bin Rashid Stadium, heading into the match against Kalba, in the matchweek 7 of the Arabian Gulf Cup, next Thursday at Kalba Stadium.
The coach stressed the importance of the match despite the fact that the team had already qualified to the quarter-finals, pointing out that winning the match will improve their position in the group.
Rodolfo described Kalba as a strong team, according to the good results they achieved in the Arabian Gulf League, where the team occupies eighth place after collecting 18 points, adding that Kalba is usually playing good at home.
Regarding the starting lineup, the coach said there will be some changes in the squad due to the absence of a number of players with the national and Olympic teams, as well as the regulations concerning players from Under 21 team who will have the chance to participate with the first team.
Mohamed Ismail Shabab Alahli player, who accompanied the coach at the press conference, said: “it is an important game, against a strong team. The match is a good opportunity for players who are not participating to prove themselves”.
