Speaking at the prematch press conference,Mahdi Ali, Shabab Alahli head coach, admitted that the next match for his team against Alwasl will be difficult match. When the two teams face each other in the second leg of the semi-final of the Arabian Gulf Cup, at Rashid Stadium 8:15 pm on Tuesday.
Mahdi considered that the match is important for both sides, expecting tough game because the result determines the team which will qualify to the final.
Mahdi Ali spoke about his opponent: “Alwasl is a good team that currently doing well in the league and the other competitions, we have the advantage of winning the first leg game, but still there is some risk. We need to focus more and be calm so that we can achieve our goal”.
He added: “regardless of result in the first leg match, we have to be aware that in football only the performance and effort you make on the field during the ninety minutes can help you to win”.
Ahmed Al-Attas who accompanied the coach in the press conference said: “The match will not be easy. We will enter this match with great focus to achieve the required result. It needs a lot of effort and work, and we are ready to fight for the place in the cup final”.
