Mahdi Ali, head coach of Shabab Alahli, assured that his team is ready for next match against Khorfakan at Rashid Stadium at 8:15 pm on Friday in the matchweek 18 of the Arabian Gulf League.
Speaking at the pre-match press Mahdi admitted that the match will not be easy, stating that his team is returning to the league just three days after finishing the cup semi-finals, and has only two training sessions to prepare for the tough game.
He said: “Certainly all matches have become important. We must focus on the next game and do our best to get positive result, and we also work to maintain the good performance of the team”.
“Khorfakkan progressing and became strong team we respect them. Regarding our chances in the league, I think it is difficult now, but we play each match separately and strive to get positive result and continue fighting to advance in the ranking” said Mahdi.
Yahya Al-Ghassani who accompanied the coach in the press conference said: “it is an important match, especially it is coming after the cup semi-final match, in which we exerted great physical effort. Our opponent is strong team with good players, we are looking forward to achieving victory and obtaining the three points”.
